Red Wine Club

Red Wine Club Memberships...
A Red Wine-Tasting Journey

If you enjoy red wine and drink it on a regular or semi-regular basis one way to ensure top quality red wines are always on hand is by treating yourself to a red wine club membership.

You'll be surprised at the variety of red wine selections you'll receive; most likely more than you can get around to finding yourself... And best of all, the wine experts have made sure the wine passes their quality checks first. :-)

As you begin, with say a three month or six month membership, you will find it is a wonderful experience with nominal cost.

In your first monthly shipment, you will likely receive two award winning red wines and an eloquent write-up describing each of the wines. In most cases you will also receive suggestions on how to pair your red wines with meals, to ensure you get the best possible experience.

What are the Options?

There are numerous wine clubs offering exclusive red wine shipments. Some that I would recommend are listed here.

  • The California Reds Wine Club specializes in red wine, offering red wine varieties from Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Shiraz mainly from the Napa Valley region, but they also offer some international wines as well.

  • K&L Wine Club offers a Signature Red Collection which gives you two bottles of red wine each month from wine regions across California, Europe, Australia and South America. It is a highly regarded wine club.

  • The California Wine Club offers a Premier Club which allows you to choose a red-only selection, which has been known to include red varietals like Cabernets and Merlots, and the lesser-spotted Nebbiolo, Primitivo and Sangiovese.

  • Wines.com offers a variety of wine clubs where you have the opportunity to choose an all-red selection if you prefer.

  • Not to be confused with the above wine club, Wine.com also offers a red wine option called the 90 Point Rated Club which according to their website focuses on "two ultra-premium red wines each month selected by our wine experts".

  • The Saratoga Wine Exchange, based in New York, offers their wine club members the choice of both premium varieties of wines from classic growing areas worldwide and household names from the United States.

You'll also find that most 12-bottle case wine clubs allow a combination of reds and whites or just red or just white. Try combining if you like both, there are some excellent white wines included in these shipments as well.

Of course if you a red wine lover, you'll likely enjoy the red-only option that red wine club membership brings.
