Nectar Wine Club Review

Nectar Wine Club

Nectar Wine Club...
Affordable Wines for Loyal Customers

Being a part of the Nectar loyalty scheme, this wine club has a good selection of wines from many different regions, starting at very affordable prices.

If you are a "Nectar points" cardholder you can benefit from this wine club, as it gives you the chance to both accumulate points with every purchase and redeem your points by buying Nectar wines.

If you are looking for the crème de la crème of wine clubs, it is possible that you are not Nectar wine club material. However, if you enjoy wine and want to spend a bit on getting to know more about it, perhaps it will be perfect for you.

However you shouldn't underestimate this wine club; their selection of over 1,300 wines includes some rarities such as the elusive French Tannat, and a fair share of pricey jewels, side by side with the £3.95 a bottle deals.

Membership

In order to get access to the wine club offers, you need to be a Nectar points cardholder. Not to worry, you can join online; it is simple and free, and you will start accumulating points every time you shop at Sainsbury's as well as many other popular retail stores.

There are some special Nectar points offers, some of which are fun and interesting such as the 12 country tour case at 7,500 points plus £29.99 or 15,000 points.

Pricing & Delivery

Delivery costs £6.99 per address, regardless of the number of cases sent. This wine club delivers everywhere in the UK except for the Channel islands, and delivery takes a standard 5 days.

At present, they are offering a Taste of Spain wine plan, with an introductory 15-bottle case at £44.99. If you join, your subsequent quarterly cases will cost £69.99 plus the £6.99 for p&p.

Bonus Track

This wine club offers you a number of extra benefits, like triple points on other wine plans every time you join one of them. They also throw in fancy corkscrews with your introductory case.

One feature I really liked about their website was the "Most reordered" section. If you trust your fellow wine-drinkers and like to play it safe, this may prove quite helpful for you.

Another interesting service provided by this wine club is their online wine adviser. Whatever your wine-related question may be, experts will be glad to answer it for you.

All in all, joining the Nectar Wine Club might not make you a connoisseur, but you can sure have some fun while you are at it.
