Charity Wines Review

Charity Wines...
Wines on a Mission

With a reputation of having raised over one million dollars in only one year, Charity Wines must be the single most successful wine-themed charity in the world.

Sponsored by sports stars and celebrities who offer their name and image to be used on wine bottle labels, this Charity is certain to be a favorite with you, if you happen to be either a wine lover or a hardcore sports fan!

When this Charity releases a new wine selection, there is usually an instant madness, as people rush to get their limited number bottle of Ricky Santana's Santana Splash Merlot or Davey Boy Smith's Bulldog's Bite Chardonnay...

In 2009, their Bourque Merlot, presented by Ray Bourque, and their Cambernet Cabernet Sauvignon benefiting The Cam Neely Foundation For Cancer Care quickly sold out.

A Winning Combination

Charities are not an easy thing to choose, so, why is Charity Wines so popular?

First of all, they have an impeccable record, as far as the use of their funds is concerned; they have contributed to Cure Childhood Cancer, the David Ortiz Children's Fund, and the Miracle League, among dozens of other charities in the last couple of years.

Secondly, they choose their charities very well, among the ones that do the most commendable work, in the most effective manner.

Finally, they are successful because, on top of all that, they choose great wines to fill their sports' star decorated labels.

The Wine Selection

Some of the wines you can purchase online at the moment are: Mark Buehrle's Buehrlot, Derek Lee's CaberLee, and Dick Butkus' Legends 51.

Wines are classed in categories such as Longball Cellars, Legend Cellars, etc; and they all cost a standard $13.99.

All the wines have been carefully selected by the Charity Wines board, which is made up from people who come from the wine and restaurant industries.

Their mission is to put their expertise in wine at the service of a good cause, by teaming up with sports' celebrities or any notable personalities in a position to aid them attain their charitable goals.

A Great Gift

This Charity is not just popular with the more altruistic personalities.

In fact, most people buy these wines because they are sports' fans, or because they imagine the smile on the face of that sports' fanatic friend or spouse...

Imagine watching the thrill of them receiving a custom labeled bottle of great wine, named after their favorite golf or baseball player of all times, or the star of their favorite team.

Lending a Hand

All you have to do, if you are interested in contributing to this Charity, is check out their impressive selection and purchase as much as you can drink/store in your cellar, or as much as your heart desires.

And if you are truly fascinated by their work, you can also open an online wine store, via their Grape Surfer program, in order to raise funds for your favorite charity or non-profit organization. Or if you are part of an Alumni association you can benefit from the Alumni cellars program, and individual organizations have a chance to have their own celebrity-label wine produced, for the purpose of raising their own funds.

To my mind, Charity Wines is a fantastic idea that combines two of the things many of us love the most, namely, helping those in need, and enjoying great wines. I can't imagine any other way of making a really nice wine taste even better.
