The British Airways Wine Club... Excels in Quality Control
The wine club run by one of the world's leading airlines is renowned for its consistent quality and special highlights. The British Airways Wine Club can be your first-class ticket to getting a personalized tour of the wine world :-)... and you won't have to give up much choice control, either.
When a Club Becomes a Major Collection
If you've been browsing the offerings of other wine clubs and have felt confined by the choices of subscriptions or packages available, you'll delight in the sheer enormity of the selections at the BA Wine Club.
Directed by highly-regarded wine industry professional Tony Laithwaites, the club offers 4 main subscriptions. There are also a handful of others that can help you instantly open your doors to the wine world - but be prepared to open wide!
Subscriptions
The BA Wine Club offers a case per quarter and at Christmas to its members.
For the Four Seasons plan, selections are top-notch and range from the most famous, as well as the most obscure, wine regions of the world, letting you get a truly global taste of some of the best wines in production.
If you've ever enjoyed a glass of Spanish wine, you'll love the Taste of Spain subscription. The plan features a 15-bottle case of pre-selected Spanish reds every two or three months. Travel throughout the country on the reliability of expertly picked varietals.
The Australia Direct plan offers 15 bottles of wines cultivated down under, and is a great choice if you want to experience the very best of Australian wines. If you prefer to delve deep into one of France's most celebrated regions, try the Le Chai au Quai club for 12 bottles of premium wine from Bordeaux.
In addition to these plans, the BA Wine Club offers subscriptions for the Rioja region of Spain, and the Cellar Classics collection of wines with word of mouth. There's also the Big Red subscription for full-bodied cabs and other bold standards, and the Claret Club that's second to none if you love the quality and fine appeal of Claret wine.
Subscriptions range from about £50 to about £80 per case, and 15-bottle cases are introductory specials only.
Perking Up Perfection
Each of the BA Wine Club subscriptions comes with tasting notes and suggested pairings. You can view shipments in advance to make any modifications you'd like before a case is shipped to you - a feature many members love.
There's also a 10% discount on wine club purchases, and if you fly with BA, you'll receive some excellent benefits.
If you want uncompromising quality and an extraordinary range of wines with precise control over your shipments, the British Airways Wine Club may be your best bet.
