American Cellars Wine Club Review

American Cellars Wine Club...
Wine for the Masses

A part of well-known Internet wine seller Vinesse, the American Cellars Wine Club has been around since 1994. It is based in California and delivers to 30 other states across the USA.

Its selection included about 200 different wines when I checked it. While it was not impressive and did not include unheard-of varieties or wines from exotic regions, it was a good selection altogether.

I think it won my heart with the inclusion of Prosecco; my favorite drink for an afternoon at one of those terraces by the Rialto bridge in Venice... :-)

California Treasure or World of Wine?

As it is customary with most wine clubs these days, this wine club offers various membership options.

The Élevant Society option offers higher class, exclusive wines, while the American cellars selection includes wines from small wineries and limited production wines.

There is also a Four seasons club, which will offer you the wines best adapted to each season.

They also offer a special Sweet and light club, a California treasures selection, and a World of wine option for the more adventurous enthusiast.

Membership & Benefits

Wine is sent bi-monthly, with extraordinary seasonal offerings on certain occasions. The number of bottles received varies between 2 and 6, and they cost between $12 and $35 each.

Their newsletter, called the Grapevine, is included with every order. As a member, you also get regular access to special discounts.

Online Reviews

This wine club's online reputation is presently going through a difficult time. There must be something wrong when your first Google search results' page includes an entry from rippoffreport.com and a "do not recommend" listing from the wine club directory.

Apparently, the club has had some issues with return policies and refunding people who wished to cancel their membership.

Notwithstanding, this wine club has many satisfied members, and it offers a good selection of wines at affordable prices.
